Steve Harvey Law stands out in the legal field for its dedication to high-quality representation. The firm’s founder, Steve Harvey, has built a reputation for taking on and winning major cases that few other firms can handle.

His success comes from a deep commitment to his clients and an ability to navigate complex legal issues.

Vital organ allocation case

One of the firm’s most notable victories involves the case of Sarah Murnaghan and Javier Acosta. In 2013, these two children needed lung transplants to survive. The federal “Under 12 Rule” prevented them from being eligible. Steve Harvey led a team of lawyers who challenged this rule in federal court. The team secured temporary restraining orders that allowed both children to receive lung transplants. Harvey’s work on this case saved their lives and led to a change in the organ allocation system.

Constitutional law challenge

In another high-profile case, Steve Harvey Law represented an intervenor in the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania v. Boockvar. This case challenged the proposed “Marsy’s Law” amendment to the Pennsylvania constitution. The amendment aimed to grant certain rights to alleged victims of crime. However, it risked infringing on the constitutional rights of criminal defendants. Harvey presented evidence and arguments that ultimately led to the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court invalidating the proposed amendment.

Landmark intelligent design trial

Steve Harvey Law also played a key role in the landmark intelligent design trial, Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District. In 2005, Harvey and his colleagues represented eight families who opposed the inclusion of intelligent design in the school curriculum. They argued that it violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, affirming that intelligent design is a religious concept that cannot be taught in public school science classes.

Trade secret misappropriation

The firm also handles unique business disputes, such as trade secret misappropriation claims. These cases involve complex issues of intellectual property which require a thorough understanding. Steve Harvey Law represents both plaintiffs and defendants in these high-stakes lawsuits, often resolving matters without the need for litigation.

Steve Harvey continues to take on unusual and difficult cases. His firm’s success comes from a combination of legal expertise, dedication and a commitment to justice. This makes Steve Harvey Law a standout choice for clients facing complex legal issues.
